Experience Highlights

• English Language Consultant
-I tutor Asian ESL students online everyday and help them improve their English listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, and overall comprehension skills
-I create lesson plans that cover a range of grades and difficulty levels
-As I am a popular and experienced tutor, I get the chance to provide potential students with demonstration sessions. Essentially, I teach these students condensed lesson plans in the hope that they will choose to become a student with Tutor ABC
-I also regularly teach “special sessions”, where I control an ESL class containing up to 200 students

• ESL Teacher
-Created daily lesson plans for a range of students of different ages and abilities in South Korea
-Completed a one-year contract without missing a day of work
-Helped students improve their English skills through daily proofreading/editing of writing and practice through discussion

• Writing Center Tutor
-Helped my fellow students improve their writing skills by peer-editing and proofreading a variety of types of writing, including essays and dissertations
-Familiar with a variety of style guides, including MLA and APA, and proficient in essay composition

• English Major / Secondary English Teacher Certification
-Spent the majority of my university career studying English, writing analytical essays, and helping others improve their writing
-Can teach others in a cooperative and helpful manner
-I am familiar with a variety of different pedagogical styles and classroom management techniques that I can implement in my classroom everyday

• Personal Care Attendant
-Helped Vicky Levack, a 19-year old freshman with cerebral palsy, to adapt to campus life, do her homework, and everything in between. I helped her with basic necessities, like showering, eating, and using the bathroom; but I also helped her with less tangible things, like making friends and adjusting the university.
