Teaching and Tutoring

Developed and taught lessons in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, based on the national curriculum in public schools, within England and Canada.
Taught English conversation in two Korean public schools, with classes of 33 students.
Partnered with Korean co-teachers to organize lessons, and work together to ensure student success.
Prepared report cards four times in one year for Korean students aged 4-15.
Implemented a variety of teaching methods including group work, pair work, educational games, and the use of technology to enhance students¡¯ learning.

Behavioural Management


Taught a unit on Science, to groups of special needs children, (Autism and Aspergers) within a camp setting.
Developed Individualized Educational Plans (IEP), and guided special needs children in achieving short term goals in the classroom.
Utilized a variety of behavioral strategies in the classroom, to enforce classroom rules and routines.


Leadership and Creativity

Taught singing to children, who performed musicals and plays during festival week.
Monitored mentally challenged youth in outdoor activities within the community.
Supervised and when necessary, used crisis intervention, to calm juvenile delinquent adolescents in an outdoor setting.


Volunteer Activities

- Taught ESL to orphans at the ¡®Center for Children¡¯s Happiness¡¯ in Cambodia.
- Tutored Asian university students in ¡®English as a foreign language,¡¯ for three years.
- Singing and playing guitar in the choir.
