2014 - 2015: Guest Lecturer: Nursing; Undergraduate and Graduate Histology,

• Created and presented a one-hour lecture on heart anatomy to a class of 125 nursing students.
• Designed and presented pre-lab talk for two undergraduate histology labs of 100 students each.
• Developed and led a two hour tutorial and a 10 minute lecture to a histology class of 12
graduate students, demonstrating research, preparation and presentation abilities.
2014 - 2015: Head Teaching Assistant for Systemic Human Anatomy Online

• Organized and led meetings with four teaching assistants and conferred with head teaching
assistants and coordinators regarding expectations, technology and mediation of concerns.
• Recorded in-person lectures for online archives, and responded to online student questions.
• Acted independently and worked with IT specialists to troubleshoot technical issues for a class
of 300 students, demonstrating ability to lead, problem solve, and reconcile student concerns.
2013 - 2015: Teaching Assistant for Human Gross Anatomy Dissection Lab

cadavers, fostering student ability to relate lecture material and diagrams to real-life scenario.
• Fostered student engagement and learning by presenting case studies and leading discussions

• Fielded questions and provided instruction in a diversity of dissection labs, teaching students of
medicine, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and kinesiology as well as practicing specialists.

• Instructed groups of 30 nursing students on anatomical topics of study by creating and
presenting demonstrations using slides, plastic models, and skeletons as well as creating and
facilitating use of worksheets that provided independent and group study opportunities.
• Led review session involving fielding student questions, demonstrating anatomical structures on
plastic models, and posing questions for students.
• Prepared questions for, proctored, and marked two lab quizzes and one bell-ringer exam.
• Marked case study assignments involving researching cases and providing student feedback.
