I have extensive experience working with youth and adults in a teaching environment both through my volunteer experiences and previous employment. At Robert¡¯s Press I had the privilege of working with individuals of diverse backgrounds as I assisted in facilitating the training of the H.U.G.S program to children and adults. Here I also dealt with individuals in heightened states as I applied appropriate coaching methods to individuals grieving and seeking our resources. Furthermore, I have mentored and coached youth of diverse backgrounds as they develop and face hardships in their lives. At Knapman Equestrian Centre I routinely took care of horses and barn animals and managed my student helpers. I also taught beginner horseback riding lessons to youth as young as 7 years old and to adults as old as 50. I was able to further develop my communication skills to ensure my riders understood my instructions as we dealt with a potentially dangerous animal.
Furthermore, my professional and academic experiences have greatly developed my grammar and English writing skills as a native English speaker. It has also taught me the importance of proofreading, proper English in the completion of forms and other documents, as well as the importance of being abreast on procedures and routines. I have edited documents, press releases and short stories, as well as compiled documents for distribution. Overall, I hold a wide range of grammatical knowledge and a strong background in teaching positions.
